We will begin collecting sales tax on most customer charges starting January 1st, 2026, with the exceptions of subscriptions, shipping, and storage. We will collect applicable taxes from customers. The tax portion of your commission must be set aside and remitted by you.

If you apply taxes on these charges today, the rates you have in the system will be replaced with the state and local sales tax according to the geo-location of your store. Any existing rates you have entered for mailbox subscriptions and renewals will not change.

Your customers will see any taxes that apply in their iPostal1 mailbox, and you will be able to see the taxes on the new Tax Remittance Report. Just log into your iPostal1 dashboard and navigate to the Payment tile.

Additionally, your monthly iPostal1 software subscription fee is now taxable, and the tax will be deducted from your monthly commission payment.
